1953: Born in Berlin.

University of Applied Sciences for Art and Design in Cologne. Studied the classical guitar at the conservatory of music.

Since 1971: Student of Dr. Trina Purohit-Roy, who founded the Tagore Institute of Bonn in 1980.

Until 1984: Lessons in Bengali, Sangit,

(singing) and various instruments such as Sitar, Shurbahar, Dilruba, Esraj, Harmonium and Tabla.

1984: Three-month study trip to Varanasi. Sitar lessons with Gopal Krishna.

2016: Study trip to Kolkata and Bangladesh.

Lessons on the Sarod for six years, with Ustad Daud Khan Sadozei and now with Pandit Dr. Ranajit Sengupta.

Individual lessons with David Trasoff and Shougata Roy Chowdhury.
